How do I balance board exams with NEET / JEE preparation?
Treat them as overlapping, not opposite. The same NCERT/concepts power both; give boards a focused 6–8 week finishing sprint while keeping entrance basics warm.
Most of the syllabus overlaps — the concepts you learn for NEET/JEE are the same ones tested in boards, just asked differently (boards want presentation, derivations and definitions; entrances want speed and application). Through the year, prioritise deep concept-building for the entrance. In the last 6–8 weeks before boards, switch to board-style answer writing, previous years' board papers, and neat presentation. Don't abandon entrance practice entirely — keep a little going so you don't lose momentum.
