This policy explains what personal data AimMent collects, why, and your rights over it. We follow the principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act. We collect only what we need to run and improve AimMent, and we never sell your data.

• •Learning data: diagnostics, progress, streaks, questions you ask, and preferences (e.g. language, target exam).
• •Parent/guardian contact: only if you choose to add it for progress updates.
• •Device and usage data: basic analytics such as pages viewed and approximate region, to keep the service reliable.
• •Payment data: handled by our payment partner - we do not store your card details.

3. How we use your data

• •To provide and personalise your learning (diagnostics, study plan, AI tutor).
• •To save your progress and sync it across your devices when you sign in.
• •To send updates you opt into, and consented progress digests to a parent/guardian.
• •To keep AimMent secure, prevent abuse, and improve our content and features.

4. Consent and legal basis

We process your data based on your consent and to provide the service you request. Where you are under 18, a parent or guardian provides consent. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights).

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with trusted service providers who help us run AimMent, under confidentiality obligations - for example hosting (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), AI providers that power tutoring, our payment partner, and email/messaging providers for notifications. We do not sell your personal data or share it for third-party advertising.

6. Children's privacy

AimMent is designed to be safe for students. If you are under 18, please use AimMent with a parent or guardian, who consents to this policy on your behalf. Parents may contact us to review or delete a child's data.

7. Data security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law, and then delete or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

9. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences (like theme and language), and save progress offline. You can clear these in your browser settings.
